SUP Yoga is totally different than in the classroom IMO.
It will very rarely be a “perfect” setting, with perfectly glassy waters, no sounds, and quiet students. What you can expect is boat traffic creating wake, loud airplanes and helicopters flying by, people mowing lawns and other loud machinery nearby, students falling in making huge splashes, followed by a round of nervous laughter, fishies swimming by and causing a pause in the whole class as everyone squeals and takes photos…. It’s important to have an open mind when taking a class on the water and laugh about it (even if it’s just in your mind). All of these things are occurring as they are meant to and are part of the experience! We can either let them ruin the experience or we can use them as a real life-lesson in being present! Allow yourself to experience exactly what you need to and then bring into back into the yoga space when it’s time. Kinda like rocking childs pose.
It's a blast and anyone an do it. There are plenty of modifications. FALLING IN IS OK. 😀
